Watching Them Grow
What to Expect Along the Journey
Every litter develops at its own pace, but these milestones offer
a glimpse into the exciting weeks ahead as each kitten grows from
a tiny newborn into a confident and playful European Maine Coon.
🍼
Newborn — Birth to 2 Weeks
The kittens spend nearly all of their time nursing and
sleeping while growing at an incredible rate. Mom provides
constant care as each kitten develops strength and healthy
weight.
👀
Eyes Opening — 1 to 2 Weeks
Tiny eyes gradually begin to open, revealing the first
glimpses of the personalities to come. Their vision is still
developing, but curiosity is beginning to awaken.
🐾
First Adventures — Week 3
The nursery becomes a place of exploration as little legs
grow stronger. Siblings interact more, and adorable
slow-motion play begins.
🍽️
First Meals & Litter Lessons — Week 4
The kittens are introduced to their first food while
continuing to nurse from Mom. Litter training also begins,
helping them form healthy habits and gain independence.
🧸
Discovering the World — Weeks 5 to 6
Playtime becomes a full-time job. Wrestling, climbing,
chasing toys, and learning social skills with littermates
help shape confident, well-adjusted companions.
❤️
Growing Into Their Personalities — Weeks 7 to 9
Each kitten's temperament begins to shine. Whether outgoing,
cuddly, adventurous, or laid-back, families begin to see the
wonderful companion their kitten is becoming.
🏡
Gotcha Day
After weeks of love, care, socialization, and growth, the
kittens are ready to begin their greatest adventure—joining
their forever families.
Every kitten develops at an individual pace.
These milestones are typical, but some kittens may reach them a
little earlier or later than their littermates. New photographs
are added throughout their journey as time and development allow.
Our journey with them lasts just a short time. The memories they
will create with your family will last a lifetime.
