2nd Annual Christmas Adoption Credit Drawing

2026 Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Each valid entry has equal weight. Void where prohibited.

1. Sponsor

The sponsor is Smoky Mountain Maine Coons, P.O. Box 156, Blaine, TN 37709.

2. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 21 years old when they enter. Entrants must complete Smoky Mountain Maine Coons’ application and approval process and arrange pickup in East Tennessee or Fort Wayne, Indiana, according to the selected kitten’s normal go-home schedule. Void where prohibited or restricted.

No more than two distinct entrants may enter from one household. Employees of the sponsor and members of their households are not eligible. Entrants may not share the same email address, phone number, or mailing address.

3. Promotion Period

The promotion begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on October 17, 2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on December 19, 2026. The drawing will take place on December 20, 2026 at 7PM EST The sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeper.

4. How to Enter and Entry Limits

Entrants must complete the sponsor’s online application for identity verification and kitten-placement vetting during the promotion period.

• Online entries: Entrants may obtain optional supporter tickets through the drawing entry page and complete the online vetting application as directed.
• Mail-in entries: Entrants may use the free alternate method described in Section 5 and must also complete the online vetting application.
• Base entry limit: Each person may receive up to 50 base entries total across all entry methods. Each valid purchased ticket or mail-in card counts as one base entry.
• Bonus entries: The same bonus tiers apply to purchased and mail-in base entries. A person with 10–24 base entries receives 1 bonus entry; 25–49 base entries receives 3 bonus entries; and 50 base entries receives 10 bonus entries. Only the highest qualifying tier applies; tiers do not stack.
• The maximum is 60 total entries per person, including bonus entries. Each valid entry has equal weight in the drawing.

5. Free Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE)

To enter without purchasing supporter tickets, hand-print the following information on a 3" × 5" card: full name, mailing address, city, state, ZIP code, email address, phone number, date of birth, and this statement: “I have read and agree to the Official Rules of the Smoky Mountain Maine Coons Adoption Credit Drawing.” Sign and date the card.

Each valid card counts as one base entry. Mail-in entries count toward the same bonus tiers and limits described in Section 4.

One card per envelope. Metered mail and bulk mail are not accepted. Entries must be received by the end of the promotion period.

6. Vetting and Finalists

The sponsor reviews entrants using its standard pet-only placement criteria. Only entrants marked Approved or Pre-approved become finalists eligible for the random drawing. The sponsor may request references, landlord approval, or veterinary confirmation and may disqualify an entrant who does not meet its animal-welfare standards.

7. Winner Selection and Odds

On December 20, 2026, the sponsor will conduct a random drawing from all eligible finalist entries using a third-party randomizer and retain a drawing log. Odds depend on the number of eligible finalist entries. If a selected entrant declines the credit or fails verification or the required adoption process, the sponsor may select an alternate finalist.

8. Prize

One selected recipient will receive an adoption-fee credit of up to $2,500 toward adoption of one eligible Smoky Mountain Maine Coons kitten. The credit may be applied to a currently available kitten or an upcoming pairing, subject to availability, the sponsor’s application and approval process, and its standard pet-only adoption contract.

The credit must be applied by June 20, 2027, six months after the drawing. For an upcoming pairing, the recipient must arrange to apply the credit to that pairing by the deadline; the kitten’s normal availability and go-home schedule may occur later.

The recipient must complete the sponsor’s adoption approval process. The credit has no cash value. Travel and transportation are not included. Any remaining adoption fees or other costs are the recipient’s responsibility.
