Who We Are

We’re a family-run cattery founded in 2010. I (Tammy) and my husband Jim are in East Tennessee, with our daughter Beth in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and close family partners. Because several of us care for cats in our own homes, our kittens grow up underfoot—hearing everyday sounds, meeting people, and learning family rhythms.

  • What we breed: European lines with strong type, including smokes and the rare dominant blue-eyed look.
  • What we sell: Pet-only kittens (not for breeding) with a signed contract and basic vetting.

Our Health & Testing Promise

Healthy parents, healthy kittens. All SMMC breeding adults are screened for key hereditary conditions (HCM, PKD, SMA). Parents are also FeLV/FIV negative. Every kitten sees our veterinarian and goes home with age-appropriate care per our contract.

See our Health & Testing Standards.

Why Our Kittens Stay Until 10–12 Weeks

  • Social skills: Kittens learn manners and confidence from mom and littermates.
  • Immune readiness: Time to grow, eat well, and handle early vet care.
  • Smoother transitions: Kittens leaving around 10–12 weeks adapt faster.

Most go home closer to 10 weeks if ready; sometimes a little later based on individual needs.

How Reservations Work (and 1st/2nd Pick)

  1. Pre-Reservation (optional): We take two pre-reservations per litter ($1,000 deposit, non-refundable) for 1st and 2nd pick.
  2. Choosing: After birth, we contact 1st pick, then 2nd pick to select.
  3. No match? Choose any available kitten from any current litter before public posting.
  4. Public listings: Remaining kittens are posted on Available Kittens.

All placements are pet-only. Spay/neuter is required per contract, and we do basic vetting.
